Hello ,Power consumption of Max Vision 4K in standby mode with the clock: approximately the same as in idle mode, about 15-18W.See below for other answers. On Fri, Jan 21, 2022 at 1:55 PM GMAIL wrote:HiCan you answer this question for me?Now if I use the Max Vision AVR Denon AVR x2400h analog output instead of HDMI, will the sound improve? You mean use analog output of Max Vision instead of HDMI output of Max Vision.Potentially yes, it may improve. In particular, the use of the built-on DAC will allow you to:1. Play music in the most advanced DSD format in "Direct DSD" mode (w/o DSD-to-PCM conversion).2. Play music in lossless formats such as FLAC / PCM with extreme quality up to 384 kHz.You can not do it via HDMI (via HDMI, DSD will be converted to PCM; PCM only up to 192 KHz can be output). Also, you can compare the DAC chips used in Max Vision (ES9038Q2M SABRE32 Reference DAC in the current revision of this model) and in Denon x2400h (seems to be AKM AK4458VN).
https://www.esstech....ac/ak4458vn/Forexample, you can see that ES9038Q2M is much better in respect to distortions and noise level:THD+N (total harmonic distortion plus noise):ES9038Q2M: -120 dBAK4458VN: -107 dBIn Max Vision the DAC output consists of 2 analog outputs (red and white), right?Yes.It is stereo audio output, 2xRCA connectors (you can use them) + 2xXLR connectors (you don't need them).Does this mean that the Denon AVR X2400H analog input is suitable for the DAC input?Yes.DAC output of Max Vision can be connected to analog input of Denon. Is there an advantage to using analog input instead of HDMI on the AVR x2400h? (when listening to music)Potentially yes. See above.Whether you will hear the benefits, depends on many factors such as: audio files, other used equipment, how good is your room, your personal listening preferences. Some people can not tell MP3 44.1 256Kbit/s from lossless FLAC 192 / DSD 512.Or do I need much better AVR system like extra amplifier and so on?It is hard to say how good this AVR is for analog signal.AVR may do a lot of bad things (apply a lot of processing) with the audio from analog inputs.Or it may be OK.When comparing audio equipment, it is always better to test it on your own.
